Since beginning to work with clay, I realized that I love to play with texture. Sometimes the form dictates the texture, and sometimes the texture leads me to a different form. When I am creating a piece, either on the wheel or by hand building, I think about the form and the final texture that I will apply. The majority of my work is fired in a salt/soda wood fired kiln.
