Since I can remember, which is back to the age of four, I wanted to be an artist. After my first semester at the University of the Arts, I eagerly changed my major from photography to ceramics. Nothing held my attention or excited me more than the feeling of throwing on a wheel, the repetitive movements needed to burnish a piece till it shined, or the feeling of removing a still warm piece of art from the kiln. Ceramics connects me to another time and a peaceful place within myself.
