A Personal Approach to Clay

The instructors will alternate in this collaboration. This class is designed for those with prior clay experience wanting to expand their repertoire. Through weekly demonstrations we will learn to combine wheel throwing and handbuilding methods (pinch, slab, coil) for both functional and sculptural work. We will also explore mold making and experiment with other methods of firing such as raku and pit firing. We will explore teh possibilities of cone 6 glazes as an ongoing investigation.
