Clay Wheel

All Levels (Ages 11 and Up), 12 Weeks

It looks easy on TV. Have fun learning what it really takes to master the potter's wheel. If you've already had a start, come find some new skills and techniques. We'll try bowls, cups, plates, and lidded containers - any idea you may have. The class is scheduled for teens but all ages are welcome, including parent and teen.

Scratch The Surface
Monday 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, M $240/NM $260
All Levels, 12 Weeks
Lab/clay fee $45
Scratch, slip, sprig, stamp and many other surface treatments which are not alliterative. There are more ways to decorate your pots. Beginners will start with step-by-step basics of making and glazing bowls, vases, cups, then try out different techniques. Lots of individual attention will be available.

Wheel Throwing
Tuesday 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, M $240/ NM $260
All Levels, 12 Weeks
Lab/clay fee $45
Learn the step-by-step basics of making and glazing bowls, vases and cups, then move on to more complicated forms. Enliven the surfaces with textures, colored slips, sprigs and various glazing tecniques. Elements of design and lots of individual attention are integral to this course.
